Switalskis Solicitors is delighted to announce that staff will be giving back to the local community by supporting a charity chosen by each individual team in 2016.

Across the firm, staff will be raising money and awareness for a variety of fantastic charities that are close to the staff members’ hearts.

John Durkan, Managing Director at Switalskis Solicitors, said: “We’re very excited about fundraising at Switalskis during the coming year.

“Raising money but also providing a platform to increase awareness for local causes is really important to us, and many of the charities chosen by our teams also provide vital services and support to our clients.”

Switalskis teams have already made a strong start on fundraising for the year.

In York, the firm sponsored ‘A Night to Remember’ which was held at the Barbican on Thursday 24th March. This lively charity concert, hosted by York’s very own Big Ian Donaghy, raised over £22,000, which will be split between St. Leonard’s Hospice, the York team’s chosen charity, and York dementia projects.

Two Directors, Halifax-based Ranjit Uppal and Sarah Cookson, who is based in Dewsbury, will be taking part in the London Marathon this April to raise money for Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

And in Leeds and Boston Spa, staff have put together a team for Martin House’s dragon boat race – taking place at Roundhay Park in Leeds this May.

Switalskis has 11 branches across the Yorkshire region where staff will be organising fundraising activities for their nominated charities throughout the year.
