Alia Bhatt (300x450)Alia Bhatt admits she was “not happy” with how her last release “Shaandaar” fared at the box office (it was clearly a bit of a flop), but she says she doesn’t regret doing the movie.

Asked about the failure of “Shaandaar”, Alia said here: “I was not happy, obviously. It was a clear no-show. If it’s not a good film, then it will not do well, I will not say we made a good film and it didn’t do well.”

“Yes, there were problems… but, I will not blame anyone either. I will take full responsibility for it. When I signed the film, I did it happily and I still have no regrets. Now it has happened, so it’s okay. Now I will work harder and move on.”

The film was directed by Vikas Bahl of “Queen” fame.

Now Alia will next be seen in Dharma Productions’s ‘Kapoor & Sons’ with Sidharth Malhotra.

“Working with Dharma Productions is like coming home. It’s like a family to me.

“Karan (Johar) is a very liberal father-figure… he is like my dad and he gives me a lot of space. When I worked with Sidharth earlier, I was a newcomer, so I was very nervous. This time we had a great time as I had a certain bond with him.”

Directed by Shakun Batra, ‘Kapoor & Sons’ also features Rishi Kapoor, Ratna Pathak Shah and Rajat Kapoor. The film is slated for release on 18th March.
