For 22 students, the dream of visiting the holy cities of Makkah and Madina became a reality, thanks to the generosity of donors who fully funded their trip.

Over the course of two weeks during Ramadan, these young pilgrims, a mix of boys and girls, embarked on a transformative journey organised by the Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT), that deepened their faith and strengthened their connection to their beliefs.

For a Muslim, performing Umrah is more than just a pilgrimage – it’s an act of devotion, purification, and reflection. While not mandatory like Hajj, Umrah holds immense spiritual rewards for Muslims.

The opportunity to walk in the footsteps of the Prophet (PBUH), pray in the Grand Mosque of Makkah, and experience the tranquility of Madina is a blessing many long for.

However, the reality is that millions of Muslims worldwide cannot afford to make this journey.

The cost of travel, accommodation, and other expenses often places Umrah out of reach for students, low-income families, and those struggling financially.

That’s why initiatives like the KORT Umrah Campaign are so impactful – they remove financial barriers and allow young believers to experience the profound spiritual renewal that comes with visiting these sacred places.

Through the generosity of donors, these 22 students not only performed Umrah but also witnessed the unity of the global Muslim community, saw acts of kindness in the holiest of places, and returned home with renewed faith and purpose. Their journey was not just a personal milestone – it was a gift of transformation, one that will continue inspiring them for years to come.

“My journey to Makkah and Madina was beyond anything I could have imagined – an experience of profound spirituality and gratitude. Never in my life did I think I would have the opportunity to visit these sacred places, but thanks to the generosity of KORT’s donors, my dream became a reality. Their kindness and support have given me memories that I will cherish forever.” – Abdul Manan

“Visiting Makkah and Madina was a dream I never thought would come true. Thanks to KORT’s generous donors, I experienced the beauty and spiritual depth of these sacred places. This journey has left a lasting imprint on my heart, filling me with gratitude and peace.” – Tayyab Shahzad

This campaign is a testament to what can be achieved when kindness, faith, and collective action come together. It reflects the Islamic values of generosity, brotherhood, and ensuring that no believer is left behind in their pursuit of spiritual fulfilment.
