Icestone Gelato brings a revamped look to Huddersfield
Experience gelato like never before
Residents, students and visitors alike are in for a ‘sweet treat’ should they venture into Huddersfield town centre anytime soon after the latest, and greatest, Icestone Gelato dessert parlour opened up this week.
The irresistible eatery, which boasts hundreds of dessert options, from glorious gateaux to creamy gelato - and chunky milkshakes to heavenly crepes - opened its latest site on John William Street on Friday 17th June.
Following openings in Bradford, Birmingham and Manchester, the Huddersfield store has brought a new, revamped look to the brand, raising the bar to the tasty top in the dessert industry.
The chic interior is reminiscent of a Times Square restaurant, with metallic pinks and silvers clashing to create a dessert paradise, scented by warm cookie dough and sizzling sweet waffles.
Icestone Gelato director, Taj Ali, said he wanted to ensure the new site would stand out from the crowd and, after four months of development, is delighted to see it open.
“The brand has been going for three years and we are now looking to take it to the next level - looking to invest in city and town centres,” he said.
“Recently Kirklees council have spent millions of pounds revamping the town centre and we decided that it was time for us to spruce up our style for our arrival here.
“This store is a lot more modern but we still have that nice family feel that we have built our reputation on.
“If you come into any of our sites, from Birmingham to Bradford, you will see customers of all ages, cultures and backgrounds eating together. We are acutely aware that service is everything. We want everyone that comes through the door to become part of the Icestone family.”
As part of the opening day celebrations, the first 250 customers received vouchers for a free gelato scoop every day for the rest of the month of June.
All the flavoursome favourites, that helped launch the brand back in 2013, have arrived in-store whilst new additions to the menu are bound to get customers excited.
For the sweet tooth out there, salted caramel gelato will make indulging irresistible, whilst the more adventurous diner can also opt to try out the Red Bull sorbet – the perfect boost for exam season.
“We have done everything we possibly could to make sure this store gives diners an experience unlike anywhere else in the city,” Taj added.
“Our gelato makers have travelled to Italy to learn off the finest, whilst our in-store staff have been trained to offer advice to even the most experienced dessert foodies.”
To experience all these treats, and much, much more, call down to Icestone this summer and be sure to give gelato a go.
