Ayushmann Khurrana says Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is rooted in the timeless charm of classic situational comedies, drawing inspiration from films like Chupke Chupke, Angoor and Gol Maal.

The actor describes his character Prajapati Pandey as “a very good man who is hopelessly, hilariously out of his depth,” adding that the humour comes not from punchlines, but from escalating misunderstandings and sincere reactions.

Director Mudassar Aziz’s writing, according to Khurrana, honours the legacy of old-school Hindi comedies while giving it a modern flavour. Sara Ali Khan echoes that sentiment, calling the film an “unapologetic, unabashed humorous ride” packed with chaos, relationships and larger-than-life situations.

Together, the cast promise a theatrical comedy driven by confusion, character dynamics and emotional sincerity rather than gimmicks.

Pati, Patni Aur Woh Do releases in international cinemas on 15th May 2026.
