A father and son have joined forces to open a business supplying a range of dedicated care services to people living in North Leeds.

Karun Heer and his father Manjinder have launched SureCare North Leeds to offer person-centred care for the elderly and vulnerable, childcare, home services and staffing solutions for care homes.

The SureCare North Leeds franchise, is based in Northside Business Park and is managed by Sue Lister, who brings over a decade of care experience to the company. It was officially opened this week by the Lord Mayor of Leeds, councillor Gerry Harper.

Cllr Harper said: “It’s fantastic to see businesses launching that not only bring jobs to the city but provide services to the most vulnerable people. I wish SureCare North Leeds every success in their business.”

Some staff have already been taken on by the company, and they are looking for more highly trained and experienced people to join the team over the next 12 months. They plan to roll out their services into the Harrogate area in 2017.

Business Development and Marketing Manager Karun, 21, who graduated from Nottingham Trent University last summer, said: “My father and I are delighted to have opened a SureCare franchise in North Leeds. We come from a very family orientated background, which is what makes our care offering that extra bit special.

“We have a growing team of care workers who work around the clock to ensure our clients receive the day-to-day help they need to maintain the highest quality of life.

“As a business, we pride ourselves on our high standards of care and in our charity work to engage with the local community. We recently helped to raise £4,000 for Marie Curie at a charity dinner dance.”

Dad Manjinder, who has a vast amount of experience in running businesses, said: “We are passionate about creating a customer-centred service and giving the best possible care at all times.”

Gary Farrer, managing director of SureCare, says: “We are delighted to announce the launch of our North Leeds franchise. Like all our franchisees, they are dedicated to providing our customers with excellent care – the type of care that gives people the best quality of life for longer and helps them stay in their homes with the right support they need.”
