The latest addition to Bradford’s award winning dining scene comes from the heart of southern Europe, as Veri Peri opens up in the city centre.
Offering a vast menu of HMC halal steaks, premium peri peri chicken, and classic Portuguese dishes – including Espatadas and Cataplanas – the restaurant promises to pack a punch for all who call in.
Based at The Broadway Shopping Centre, excitement has surrounded the opening for months, with ‘coming soon’ signs only further building up the expectations and anticipation for food fans.
Finally, on Wednesday 31st September, foodies got their wish as The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Cllr Geoff Reid, was on hand to cut the ribbon to officially open Veri Peri.
Restaurant manager, Mohammed Saad Javed, said it has been a long time coming as the team behind the project wanted to ensure everything was ‘perfect’ for opening day.
“If you call into Veri Peri, you will see a premium dine-in restaurant which boasts elegance from the open kitchen to the simple yet stylish interior,” he said.
“Everything from the food and home made sauces to the menus and even the music played here is inspired by the Portuguese dining experience.”
He added: “Here, at The Broadway, is the perfect site for us. We had a lot of other options available but this place really stood out and we are proud to be open for business.”
With several branches already open in the Middle East and Australia, Bradford’s Veri Peri establishment represents the restaurant group’s first foray into the UK dining industry.
Plans to expand are already in the pipeline, and Mohammed is confident of the potential to grow into a household name.
“Within a couple of years Veri Peri will be a name known throughout the UK,” Mohammed added.
“We are already working on our next two branches and have many more plans for expansion as well as franchise opportunities.”
For a Veri Peri experience which is ‘Veri Veri’ nice, be sure to head down to The Broadway soon and sample some pure Portuguese perfection.
