The makers of Ramayana: Rise of a Legend have unveiled a new international trailer for the highly anticipated cinematic adaptation of one of India’s most enduring epics, offering audiences a fresh glimpse into the legendary battle between Rama and Ravana.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. The latest trailer introduces audiences to the film’s central conflict, showcasing the growing threat posed by Ravana and Rama’s determination to protect the world from destruction.

The trailer presents Yash’s Ravana as a formidable force whose ambitions extend beyond his own kingdom. In one striking sequence, Ravana confronts Indra, the king of the gods, played by Kunal Kapoor, demonstrating the scale of the challenge facing Rama.

Kapoor’s Rama is introduced as a figure of hope, with the trailer emphasising his humanity, resolve and sense of responsibility. As the conflict escalates, Rama prepares to confront Ravana, setting the stage for the epic battle at the heart of the story.

Based on the ancient Indian epic traditionally attributed to the sage Valmiki, Ramayana brings a story that has shaped generations of cultural and religious traditions to the big screen.

The production brings together an international creative team, with Oscar-winning composers Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman collaborating on the music. Visual effects studio DNEG is responsible for bringing the film’s expansive world and mythological characters to life.
