India is still trying to come to terms with the death of Sridevi, India’s first female superstar, as she was popularly called.

A prayer meeting was held for the actress, by her family, in Chennai, on Sunday evening. Several members of the film fraternity attended the meeting, including Suriya, Prabhu Deva, Jyotika and Raadika Sarath Kumarand Lata Rajinikanth.

Sridevi’s husband, producer Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi and Khushi had come from Mumbai to attend the meeting. Earlier in the day, Ajith and Shalini met the family.

Sridevi passed away on 24th February in Dubai. She was found unconscious in the bathtub by Boney. The death certificate said that she died due to “accidental drowning”.

A state funeral was held for her on 28th February. Thousands of fans, and celebrities came to pay their last respects to her.

Sridevi, in her career spanning almost five decades, had acted in 300 films, some of her most famous ones being ChaalBaaz, Sadma, Chandni and English Vinglish.
