PLANE DEPARTURE: Adam Saleh was taken off the London-New York flight after complaints from fellow passengers

A social media star from New York claims he was escorted off a Delta Airlines flight from London to New York earlier this week after speaking in Arabic to his mother and friend.

Twenty-two-year-old Adam Saleh posted a number of videos to his Twitter feed on Wednesday 21st December, apparently showing him being led off a plane by flight attendants at Heathrow Airport.

The online celebrity says he was told to leave after a passenger had heard him talking Arabic, leading to up to 20 fellow passengers requesting he leave the flight prior to takeoff.

Speaking to his followers on twitter, Saleh says: “This is 2016. Delta airlines is kicking us out.

“You guys are racist. I cannot believe my eyes. I cannot believe it. I spoke a word in a different language and you say you feel uncomfortable?

“I’m about to cry right now. Because we said a word in a different language and there are six white people against us bearded men.”

Saleh told media sources that he always speak Arabic on planes as he talks to his mother before takeoff.

According to the young vlogger, the original complainant told the captain that she felt ‘uncomfortable’ after ‘something happened in Germany’.

In a statement, Delta said: “Two customers were removed from this flight and later rebooked after a disturbance in the cabin resulted in more than 20 customers expressing their discomfort.

“We’re conducting a full review to understand what transpired. We are taking allegations of discrimination very seriously; our culture requires treating others with respect.”
