Police are appealing for the public’s help to identify a man left in a critical condition after a serious road traffic collision on Easterly Road in Leeds.

The incident happened at 7.55 this morning near to the junction with Hollin Park Mount. A pedestrian and a single decker bus heading away from Oakwood Lane and travelling in the general direction of the Outer Ring Road were in collision.

As a result of the collision the man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Officers have so far been unable to identify the man and are appealing for any witnesses to the incident or anyone who thinks they might know the injured man to get in contact.

The injured man is described as Asian, aged in his early 50s, of a large build and 5’10” tall with short balding dark coloured hair. He was wearing a navy blue Nike Air Max jacket with a grey stripe on each sleeve, a grey jumper with thin grey turquoise and navy blue stripes, charcoal grey trousers a navy blue adidas New York Yankees baseball cap, a navy blue Umbro tracksuit top and a black leather belt with ‘Ajanta Gold’ printed on the back.

He was also wearing black socks a white vest and orange and black Everlast Juipiter trainers (size 10).

Detective Inspector Phil Jackson of Leeds CID, said:

“This was a serious incident and unfortunately we have been unable to trace the injured man. I am appealing to anyone who either saw the incident or thinks they might know the injured person to get in contact.”
