A woman has been shoved into a moving train at one of Central London’s busiest stations, in a shocking attack caught on CCTV.

The unnamed woman is seen waiting at the platform at Piccadilly Circus when a man approaches her from behind before pushing her into the side of the moving carriage as it prepared to pull up.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Our offices were called to Piccadilly Circus London underground on Tuesday 10th November following a report of a person being pushed towards a moving train.

“Medics from the London Ambulance Service attended and took a woman to hospital where she was treated for grazes to her face.”

Yoshiyuki Shinohara is the man seen in the image and has been charged with attempted murder.

The 81-year-old appeared before Westminster Magistrates Court on Thursday where he was remanded in custody until Wednesday 25th November when he will appear before Blackfriars Crown Court.
