Jaguar Land Rover reveals all of the Bond cars ahead of Spectre release

The Bond films are known for showcasing Aston Martin vehicles, but Jaguar vehicles have been featured more recently as well. In 2012’s “Skyfall,” Jaguar Land Rover showcased the Defender 110 Double Cab pickup and Jaguar XJ.

But now all of the cars to be used in the new James Bond film Spectre have been revealed by Jaguar Land Rover and among the select range is Jaguar’s C-X75 supercar concept that will be used in the film by Hinx, who is played by David Bautista.

In the new film, the Jaguar C-X75 will star in a chase scene with the Aston Martin DB10.

Other Jaguar Land Rover cars set to be on the big screen are the Range Rover Sport SVR and a Land Rover Defender that has been modified with massive 37-inch off-road tyres.

All of the cars have been built by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations especially for the film.

Naomie Harris, who reprises her role as Moneypenny in the new film said: “I made my Bond debut in the Defender and I have so many fond memories of shooting that sequence in Istanbul. It’s such a special series of films to be part of and I’m thrilled to be driving more Jaguar Land Rover cars in the new movie.”

Jaguar Land Rover started work on the cars almost immediately after its Special Vehicle Operations division was set up in June 2014. Although the C-X75 was only ever built as a concept car, it was always fully functional, so making it ready for the big screen was relatively simple.

Developing the Land Rover Defender was more complicated as it had to be able to cope with driving in challenging snow-covered terrain and mountain roads. It has additional underbody protection that helped keep the car in one piece during the filming.
