Built in 1845 for local philanthropist and industrialist, Sir Francis Crossley, the premises were completed with a majestic grandeur, including fine stonework, a large and imposing marble staircase as well as the high ceilings which all still exist today.
Over the years, the original features have been retained and restored to their original best ensuring the venue continues to impose prestige and presence for every occasion it hosts.
