Bradford Bazaar recently played host to two of South Asia’s most renowned celebrities as screen stars, Samina Peerzada and Dr Vyjayanthimala Bali visited West Yorkshire. Earlier this week, on Monday 4th November, Mrs Peerzada was welcomed to Yorkshire’s biggest Asian Bazaar and was shown around all of the stalls and outlets by Bazaar director, Mr Jasvinder Singh. Mr Singh spoke of how ‘humble’ and ‘welcoming’ the actress was, as she spoke with all the customers and esteemed guests before posing for pictures with more of the centre’s stakeholders.

After four years of absence, the local film festival returned at the start of November and includes a week long schedule of 16 screenings and interviews scheduled up until the Saturday 9th November.

Following the celebrations, Dr Vyjayanthimala visited Bradford Bazaar on Sunday the 27th October and was once again given a warm welcome by all at the establishment. Speaking about the presence of the Bollywood star, Jasvinder Singh said: “It was an absolute honour to be able to cater for somebody of Dr Vyjayanthimala’s repute.

“She is one of the most famous people in the world of Bollywood so for her to pay a visit to our shopping centre was brilliant. She was impressed with the availability of everything being under one roof and we are incredibly thankful for her appearance.

He added:

“To have superstars, like these two fantastic ladies, visit Bradford Bazaar is brilliant not only for us but the whole of the city. Bradford is booming at the minute and these latest celebrity appearances show that we are certainly a city on the up.”
