You’ve got the Power!
Electronic superstores first open day is a mega smash hit in Dewsbury
HELPFUL: One of the Power team aiding a customer in finding the TV that is right for them

Electronic superstore Power has now opened its second branch in West Yorkshire to provide even more huge savings in the area.
Power’s new store, located at Ravensthorpe Shopping Centre in Dewsbury, saw over a hundred people waiting outside in snowy and cold conditions on November 27, some from as early as 6am.
The new store even saw customers queue well into the afternoon for the chance to take home a TV, washing machine, freezer, cooker and much more during their grand opening mega-sale.
Dewsbury store manager Bal Nazran, who has 20 years experience in the electrical market, said: “I was pleasantly surprised by the number of people who turned up for our opening. We thought that because of the bad weather overnight that some may have been discouraged. But we had more then we expected even in good weather and I thank them for making our launch a success.”
The first customer at the store was Steve Wainwright, from Batley, who went away with a 52-inch Phillips TV for £499.99. Power director Amarjit Singh, who was also present on the opening day, was thrilled by the turnout and also presented Steve with a box of chocolates for braving the cold from 6am to be first in line.
Amarjit said: “We brought our store to Dewsbury to look after the local customers. Power’s whole aim is to look after local people by providing quick instant delivery that can see our customers have the product straight away. The branch we have just opened is in a great area and provides huge advantages like free car parking.”
Power has been hugely successful since opening its first store only 18 months ago. Power has four branches in Bolton, Doncaster, Wetherby and now Dewsbury.
