Leeds residents have been treated to mouth-watering home cooking that has never been tasted in the city before.
Apna Dera, located on Roundhay Road, has been bringing specialist dishes from Lahore to the city in its unique restaurant.
Since opening on October 16, the restaurant and takeaway has been receiving rave reviews from customers for its stylish home cooking.
Owned by Mohammed ‘Lalu’ Afzal and Brother Abid Hussain, Apna Dera caters for the wider community with traditional ‘Apna style’ cooking, all freshly prepared and made extra special with 100% halal lamb and other meats.
The restaurant specialises in nehari, paya, magaz, takka tak, biryani and Karachi dishes.
Apna Dera provides a friendly, family orientated and most of all a safe environment. The restaurant itself is decorated with stylish décor with comfortable seating that can cater for parties, weddings and other special occasions.
Apart from high standards and competetive prices, Apna Dera also benifits from the owners’ 25 years of experience in specialist catering services.
Lalu Afzal said: “With my experience in the catering business. I want to bring the taste of Lahore to Leeds.”
Experienced businessman Brother Abid said: “Leeds has been lacking a traditional ‘Apna style’ establishment. Apna Dera is going to fill that gap. Now people don’t have to travel to Manchester or Bradford for these special dishes.”
