Hundreds of hopefuls aspiring for a taste of the glitz, glamour, stardom and success of Bollywood descended upon St. Giles Hotel, Central London, for the Bollywood Dance Championships 2010 Auditions.

Presented by Honey's Dance Academy and Desitara.com, this unique talent contest aims to discover and launch the career of the UK's next Bollywood superstar.

Competitors arrived from all across the UK to showcase their talents at the X-Factor style audition process, in the hope of securing a place in the Bollywood Dance Championships 2010 taking place in July at O2.

The judges were looking for dance talent that possessed the passion, drive and determination to make it as a top Bollywood star.

Founder of the Bollywood Dance Championships 2010 and HDA is entertainment impresario Honey Kalaria who was recently a guest choreographer for the BBC show,
'So You Think You Can Dance'.

In speaking about the Auditions, Honey says, "I was absolutely amazed to see the wealth of talent that we have in the UK. The aim was to discover the stars of tomorrow and offer training, mentoring or put candidates forward for roles that we are currently casting for. I congratulate all those who are auditioning and I am pleased to say that we found a few gems that we feel we can polish and turn into diamonds".

Participants who were selected at the auditions will go on to enter the second stage of the competition – Bollywood Dance Championships 2010 Talent Show Heats- taking place on Friday 21st and Sunday 23rd May at City Pavilion, London.

Videos of the lucky semi- finalists will also be uploaded onto the Bollywood Dance Championships 2010 website on Desitara.com, where viewers will be able to vote for their favourite dancer.

The video with the highest vote will win the Public Viewers Vote at the finale event in July.
