Asian Beach Games held in Muscat

MUSCAT: The 2nd Asian Beach Games which is estimated to have cost a staggering $100,000,000 to stage, kicked off in Oman on December 8th 2010 and was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Sufri Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam.
The modern multi-sport event held every two years, with the first games held in Bali, Indonesia in October 2008, involved 43 nations competing for titles, including India and Pakistan.

The games opened in Musanna’ah sports village, where the athletes took part across 14 sports disciplines and the games combined a variety of modern sports and variants of traditional sports such as beach volleyball.
